Lesson #2 Task Reflection
Patrick Lai
Self-reflection after finished Lesson #2 Task (Atmosphere):
- I find it a bit difficult to place all the information in ONE slide.
- I have to decide which are key information, and which are
supportive, unnecessary or redundant information.
- I should focus mainly on the key information.
- I realized that, the sequence of the information shown can provide
an extra dimension for organizing the information.
- To represent the given text (paragraphs) into “visual form”
I have used a lot of time in finding suitable pictures, images and
illustrations from the web (mostly from Yahoo! — Images)
- After I have found those images, I found that NONE of them
fit ALL my request. Each image ONLY provides a portion of
information.
- So I think I have to combine and modify the images (using PhotoShop)
so as to integrate the information (to be shown as most as possible in
one screen).
- This “image modification” task used up me a lot of time (but worth).
- To conclude, I think this assignment provides me a greater challenge
(than Lesson Task #1), and it is also interesting. Thanks.

Self-reflection after reading the “Atmosphere Tasks” produced by the classmates:
- I agree that we can include some additional information if space is available for the students to learn more and explore more (by providing more stimulation to them)
- I think I can add buttons on each atmospher layer. The student can click on the buttons to see the information of the desired layer.
- After the lesson, I realized that, the ultimate goal of the re-presentation (atmosphere) is not ONLY teaching, but the most importatnt is that, TO STIMULATE STUDENT’S LEARNING!
