The project is done by Kenneth Chan and me (Patrick Lai)
Here is the Project Structure…
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/Project.swf
From the above, you can see the project consists of:
a) Introduction
It contains the introduction of the topic.
The content of the introduction is now in a paragraph form.
We will make the paragraph slim and better organized (probably by adding some images)
b) Simulation (a continuously moving moon), see the links:
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/Phase.swf
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/Phase.fla
c) Exercises (a Matching Exercise of Moon Phases)
see links:
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/Matching.swf
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/Matching.fla
d) Quiz (a Quiz to let the learner know how much they have learnt)
see links:
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/kmlai2/quiz.fla
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/kmlai2/quiz.swf
e) References (Links to some web-links or suggesting literatures for the learner to read)
(to be finalized in the final version)
Further modifications:
a) adding a “Phase Slider”, see the link:
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/PhaseSlider.swf
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/PhaseSlider.fla
This component allows user to drag to the desired phase as they needed.
b) adding an “Interactive Phase” page, see the link:
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/InteractivePhase.swf
http://iln.cite.hku.hk/com/1374/users/yyechan2/InteractivePhase.fla
This component allows user to click on the desired phase as they needed.

Dear Kenneth & Patrick,
The concept your group presented is clear. But I still have some suggestions for your presentation: (1) in an “interactive phase” page, could the shape of the moon around the earth be varied as it moves? (2)after the learner got the wrong answer in quiz, could the correct answer be shown instead of only told him it was incorrect? (3) the learning object is fruitful as it equipped with various element, but much doesn’t mean good, concentrate on few element leads to success. Hope my comments is useful to your group.
Regards,
Dorothy

Hi Dorothy,
After our group (Kenneth and Me — Patrick) have read your comments. We find it useful in improving our project.
I am now working on the quiz part to give the “correct answers” when the learner has chosen the wrong answer.
For the other parts, our group will evaluate the product and as well in thinking about the comments made by our classmates.
Thank you very much.
